Seeing as for most of us – it’s payday next week – we thought we’d let you know what we had our eyes on this month.
As we mentioned in our last post last week , it’s important to keep the legs ticking over through the lead up to Christmas and sometimes a bit of new kit can help give you an incentive. Your trainers might be all worn down from a summer’s worth of pavement pounding and if the tread on the sole has gone – this won’t be helpful on the slippery, fallen leaves on the ground.
If you’re in the market for some new footwear, you might want to check out this new running shoe from adidas that they’ve added to their BOOST line called the Supernova Glide. They have been designed to meet a “feminine” aesthetic with a slightly more delicate upper than other running shoes that creates quite a nice silhouette.
However, a running shoe needs to be fairly technical and their flattering fit doesn’t mean that they are all looks and no stamina. The inside of the shoe has been lined with a magic feature called ‘TechFit’ which is meant to adapt to all female foot shapes for a comfortable run. According to Queen of the Mile, Laura, who has reported on them for us – “the shoe feels really light and snug around the foot –almost like a slipper, it fits very well”. Apparently when running in them they give off a lightweight springy feel due to the cushioning on the sole of the shoe. The come in black and orange or my personal favourite – snazzy silver and yellow – more practical for the dark winter nights.
You can find out more about the adidas Supernova Glide Boost here if it tickles your fancy on payday! Go and try them on and see if they suit your running style and help your technique.
